Called by some appliance insurance firm. The sales rep was really cheeky. I wouldn’t give out my name or info, so the caller got a bit snotty and asked if I even knew what their company was about. I replied something like, they probably sell insurance for household gadgets, and said I wasn’t interested. But the person kept going on, trying to push the insurance. I told them again I wasn’t interested and I’m fed up with these cold calls from scammers testing my patience. Then the caller got annoyed, said “fine then” and just hung up on me. 🙄😂

Honestly, it’s not a scam. I’ve had an insurance plan for my tumble dryer with these guys for a while now and just recently put my washer and cooker on it too. About nine months back, they even sent an engineer round to sort out my dryer. So yeah, it’s definitely legit.

Got a call from somebody claiming to be with a washing machine firm saying my warranty had expired. They asked what brand my machine was, and when I said I wasn’t sure, they insisted it was Hotpoint. I went to double-check, and it definitely wasn’t. Then they said there must’ve been an error in their system. That felt really dodgy, so I ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Received a call from someone claiming to be with a home appliance warranty service linked to Whirlpool. They were trying to pitch me insurance for my washing machine since the warranty had run out. I said I wasn’t interested, which seemed to annoy them a little, but they finished the call without too much fuss. Then I blocked the number. Don’t know if it’s legit or just another cold call, either way, it’s definitely one of those calls you don’t want.
