I got a call from 01273004219, some bloke saying he's Mark Cooper from the National Fraud Agency. He claimed my national insurance number had been involved in loads of fraud cases. I asked him if he could tell me which number specifically or at least the first letter and last two digits, but he couldn’t. Then he just hung up, so I blocked the number. Funny thing is, I had a nearly identical call last week from another number. Seems like they’re running a few scams from these lines - he even asked why I was calling to try and sound legit.
