I got nonstop calls for like half an hour, so fed up I had to warn them I'd call the cops. Such rude behaviour!

I received four annoying calls from a chap sporting a very thick Indian accent over just a couple of hours. He claimed he was calling about my daughter’s road traffic accident, but I don’t even have a daughter! I hung up promptly. Then, moments later, he rang again, this time referencing my supposed RTA-something that I haven't been involved in at all. I firmly instructed him to cease calling and requested he remove my number from his list, but hung up again. Undeterred, he rang back almost immediately, still on about this RTA nonsense. Frustrated beyond belief, I told him to take a hike and leave me be. Yet, he called right away once more. I simply picked up the receiver and set it down again without a word. What on earth can one do to rid oneself of these persistent pestering callers? It’s frustrating to note I’m ex-directory, which seems utterly pointless in this day and age.

Best not to answer. I had the misfortune of dealing with this dodgy insurance firm, and their treatment of me was shockingly rude when I kindly requested that they refrain from calling me again.
