The bloke kept pushing even after I told him I was busy, so I had to be pretty clear that I wasn't interested. I mentioned I was sorting out a blocked drain, which actually was true, and said it wasn’t the best moment to chat about things I didn’t care for. Honestly, some people just dont get it. The answering machine clearly says if you dont leave a message, you’re getting blocked. So why even pick up? The caller must be pretty thick to not understand that. I keep my answerphone on 24/7 so I can screen every call. I only bother picking up if it’s someone I know. That way, dumb random calls just cost them money for no reason. Only makes sense to me!

No idea who’s been calling me from numbers like 101270 344080, 1227 01404, and +44 330 057 1857. They just ring and hang up before I can even pick up. I've blocked them all now. Sounds like a load of nuisance calls, just like that comment from 3/5/19 I saw. Honestly, when are the lawmakers going to step in and sort this out? And why don’t mobile companies let us block calls from everyone except the people in our contacts? They keep saying they care about customers, but this would really help loads!
