Some bloke rang me up saying he was from ssindia, our card machine supplier, telling me our contract was about to run out. I asked him to identify who our supplier was first, and he said ssindia again. I'm certain this was a SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!

Got a call from what seemed like a normal landline, but it was just one of those usual scams from some call centre in India pretending to offer a mobile upgrade. They didn't even bother to learn my name. These scammers always try to rush you with some urgent story to freak you out. My advice: don’t get caught up in it and never share any personal info, not even your name.

I find it rather entertaining to waste their time by feigning interest, providing them with bogus details, and insisting they double-check everything to ensure it's right. It's become a bit of a ritual for me, and I always make sure to record their conversations!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, saying there’s a 40% discount on offer. When I told him I’m on the no-call register, he swore at me not once, but three times! This happened around 11:10 on 20/11/21. If he fancies sorting it out in person, I’m more than willing - bit cowardly to just flap your gums over the phone, isn’t it?

Around Manchester here: I didn’t quite get the company name, but they said, “How are you ma’am?” When I asked who they were calling for, the lady just cut the call straight away.
