I got a call from 01269219432 and the bloke was mumbling some company name I couldn’t catch. He wanted to know if I was having issues with a card reader or even using one. I told him no, he’d got the wrong person. Then he asked if this was a beauty salon, and I explained it was just a private home. After that, he said sorry and ended the call. Quite a confusing one!

Got a dodgy call this morning from some bloke named David Golder, who claimed to be ringing from Carphone Warehouse in London. I blocked the first number, but now they’ve switched to this one. He was pushing a MacBook Pro, which I’m pretty sure was a total scam. Call quality was rubbish too, loads of background chatter like it was a call centre or something. Definitely not legit.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, but the moment I said I couldn’t give them the code because the text warned me not to share it, even with O2 staff, they got really annoyed. Heads up - if you get a one-time code sent and someone rings asking for it, just hang up. They’re not with O2 and probably up to no good. If you think it’s a scam, ring O2 on 202 so they can keep your account safe. Stay careful and remember, never hand over that code - not to anyone, even if they say they’re from O2. To get back into your My O2 account, you’ll need the code they send you, like 619292 or whatever it is.

Got a call from this number on Thursday, 13th January 2022 around 12:40 in the afternoon. A guy with a really thick Indian accent was on the line, claiming he was from some sort of 'porn house' or something, before slipping in something about a mobile company which set off alarm bells. I quickly asked who he was and where he got my number from, repeating myself because I couldn’t believe it. Then, just like that, he ended the call. I didn’t hesitate to block his number right away.

So last night, on the 12th of Jan, I was told I’d apparently bought an iPhone through an Amazon account that’s connected to mine, but under the name Vicky Hickey - clearly not me. The person on the phone, claiming to be from Amazon, said it was suspicious activity. They insisted I grab my phone or laptop so they could log in and delete this so-called fraudulent account. Yeah, right! I tried to get the guy’s name - he said Ben Johnston, but with a thick foreign accent. Honestly, I should’ve asked if he was any good at running too!
