Got a call from someone saying my electricity contract's up for renewal next month - which it’s definitely not. They kept going on about a price that's supposedly 8% less if I pay by direct debit, even though I already do! Had to ask her to slow down and repeat herself cause her Indian accent and fast talking were hard to follow. When I asked for proof she was really from British Gas, she said I needed to prove who I was first. Told her to show some ID herself, and then she just ended the call!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Eon Electricity, saying I needed to renew my contract. They even knew my electricity supply number, but my actual Eon contract still has a whole year left. When I asked for my account number or any proper details, they couldn’t provide anything. So I just told them to jog on!

Well, on Friday 14th of Jan, 7:47 in the morning, I got a call from some dodgy number linked to ammantford. They didn’t bother to leave any message. I reckon the timing was pretty sneaky - it's when most folks are rushing about, getting ready for work or sorting out their kids for school. Seems like they're banking on people being flustered and more likely to fall for their scams.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Openreach saying there was an issue with my internet. He asked me to log into some smart device. I just told him to buzz off.

I didnt pick up 01269 219431 when it rang but later on looked it up. Turns out, if you call back theres the same annoying automated American voice. Seems like it's connected to another number I already blocked the day before, 01248 709788.

They kept rambling nonsense in some weird language I couldn't understand at all.

I got calls from someone claiming to be Amazon, saying that an £800 iPhone was bought using my account. They asked for my info so they could send me a form to claim a refund. No matter how many times I told them it was rubbish, they kept ringing back. They insisted they weren’t lying and told me I didn’t need to contact Amazon myself because it was definitely them. Just a warning, watch out for this number and don’t get caught out.

I got a call from this number earlier; they just said hello a few times and then suddenly dropped the call. Went ahead and blocked it straight away.

This guy phoned claiming he was from O2, telling me I had some special discount waiting on my account. I asked him how I could be sure he was actually from O2, and he said he’d send me a couple of texts, one with a code. The texts did look like they came from O2, but they warned me not to share the code with anyone, not even O2 employees. When I questioned him, he got all annoyed and said I was being rude. I just ended the call there and then.
