Some guy called Ron, sounds like he was Asian, rang me up trying to push a cheaper line rental deal. Said it was for all Openreach users or something. I told him I wasn’t with their provider, which was some telecom firm I’d never come across before. Seemed like a dodgy sales call to me.

I answered the call but stayed silent, and then they just ended the call without saying a word. It was like they were waiting for me to talk first or something.
