This number has been ringing me loads over the past few days, always with someone speaking Asian claiming to be from BT Openreach. Today was the worst - they told me they’d disconnect my internet unless I let them switch my line from 587 to the new 589. I told them to go ahead then, see what happens. Next, they said I'd have to pay £150 to get reconnected if cut off. Told them again to go on, I’m not wasting any more time chatting with them. They said they’d keep calling me back every day if needed, but not on this number - they’re blocked now.

I'm utterly exasperated with the relentless calls I'm getting from this number-often three times or more each day! They claim to be from BT Openreach, but I genuinely believe they're up to no good. When I requested to chat with a supervisor, they simply cut the line. Absolute nonsense!

I've been getting calls from this number like 5 or 6 times a day, always saying they're from BT Openreach. I ended up reporting it through actionfraud.police.uk because nothing else seemed to work. These scammers have been bugging me for about three weeks now - it's like they think we'll suddenly fall for it. It's crazy they don't realise no one believes their nonsense anymore.

I've had a bunch of calls claiming to be from BT Openreach with someone speaking in an Indian accent. They told me the signal was going to change and that my connection wouldn't work, then asked about the lights on my router. I pretended not to understand, which seemed to annoy the caller a lot, and after a bit of nastiness, they just hung up. This is getting so irritating. Why doesn't the genuine BT take action against this? At this rate, if BT actually calls me, I'll probably just think it's another scam!

I got a call from a woman named Erica who spoke with a really strong foreign accent, claiming she was from 'BT open reach'. I told her straight up that she was only here to deceive and steal, and then she just ended the call. Complete idiots and a real threat.

I'm so sick of getting calls from folks with Asian accents claiming to be from BT Openreach, saying there’s work going on at the local exchange. They always want to get into my computer or ask about my router and so on. It’s just a load of scammers, such a nuisance. I’ve tried blocking the numbers but they keep coming from so many different ones that my blocked list is full to bursting. Next time, I reckon I’ll mess around with them and waste their time like they do mine.

Enjoy a laugh with those muppets. They ain’t from BT or Openreach, just trying to scam you. Their real aim is to get into your computer. Don’t follow any of their instructions, just keep them hanging on the line. If they’re chatting with you, they can’t be scamming anyone else at the same time.

Openreach? What a load of rubbish. They kept trying to get into my computer. I had them chatting for about 21 minutes before saying I’d pop down to the exchange to see them. Then I said I needed the loo and left them hanging for 4 minutes. Total bunch of scammers. Be careful, but whatever you do, don’t let them on your computer!

This morning just before 9, got a call and they seemed to know exactly where our local exchange is. They kept pushing that I had to use a Windows PC, and got a bit rattled when I asked if an engineer could ring me instead. I ended up ringing my ISP, and they told me they should have a record if Openreach need to come out.

Got a call from a woman who sounded like she was from India. She claimed there were BT technicians at my area’s exchange and told me they found a fault. I decided to humour her for a bit until she started quizzing me about my router and how many indicator lights were lit. I told her I couldn’t actually see any lights at all. Then she asked if it was even switched on, and I said no, I don’t even have a router! After that, she asked why I was bothering her. I replied by asking why she was wasting my time, and she just told me to "go to hell" before hanging up on me!

I've had this number ring me up loads of times. I ended up reporting it on a police fraud site, which was a bit more useful than the TPS. Honestly, the TPS didn't help at all and just pointed me toward that police site anyway. Would recommend anyone else do the same, it’s worth a try.

Got called by some bloke called “David” who clearly had no idea what he was on about. He kept mixing up what a server is and who’s the main service provider. Said he was from BT Openreach, but anyone who knows Openreach knows they just handle infrastructure and don’t ring you unless you actually ask them. This week alone I’ve had about five calls from them. Honestly, I just mess with them because they obviously don’t understand much themselves.

I got a call from a woman who didn’t sound English. When I told her I didn’t have internet, she told me to “d##”. I asked her to repeat that, and she said it again, then went on to tell me to “f.off” twice, but said the full words, not just the letters or anything. Quite rude really!
