Had a bloke ring me up saying he was John from some company called ‘Appliance Aid’, telling me I could get a discount on my TV warranty, which I don’t even have. He wanted me to “confirm my details” - sounded like a classic scam to me. I’d already wasted their time before by keeping someone on the line for about 15 minutes from a different number (01268 - 653 964), just pretending to look things up. When I blocked that number, they rang back again, sounding a bit more annoyed this time! Both numbers are now blocked and I’ve reported them to the ICO.
