2 yearsI received a call from this number, apparently from a woman with a foreign accent. She mentioned something about needing to renew my insurance warranty for both my fridge and washing machine and then proceeded to request my bank details. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!3 yearsI picked up the phone but all I could hear was voices, no one actually talked to me before hanging up.3 yearsGot a call from a woman named Sara, sounded like she was from down south, phoning my 83-year-old mum. She gave her name and an address, then said my mum's fridge insurance policy had to be cancelled straight away or it’d jump from £138 to more than £200. My mum was a bit slow on the uptake, then worked out she didn't actually have any policy on her old fridge. When Sara tried to get my mum’s visa card long number, she quickly ended the call. After that, mum dialled 101 and spoke to a friendly guy who told her to report it to Action Fraud.SaraSouthAction Fraud3 yearsGot a call that felt totally dodgy, definitely a scam.3 yearsGot a call around 9:10 from a bloke with a posh English accent, claimed to be from Appliance Aid. He knew my name and the first line of my address, which caught me off guard. He said I owed money for a maintenance deal on a TV in my house. I told him I’ve got four TVs at home and one in my camper, so which one was he on about? He insisted I only had three. I cut him off quickly to say I don’t have any maintenance plans on any of my appliances. That’s when he just hung up. Total scam, definitely didn’t work on me!3 yearsGot a call from a bloke with a proper English accent, saying he was ringing from Appliance Aid Ltd about some white goods insurance. I told him I didn’t have any such policy, but he reckons to cancel it I either have to pay £150 now or get hit with a £299 charge for the rest of the three years. I’m just gonna wait and see if they actually send a bill or not.Appliance Aid Ltd3 yearsGot a call today about some insurance I supposedly owe for electrical gear I don’t even own or have insured. What annoyed me the most was them asking for me by name, like I’d fall for that. Told them straight to shove off.Submit Your Own Report (01268 395737)
