Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was from O2 and could knock 30% off my phone bill. I asked him to tell me my name since he was calling me. Suddenly, he got all stammery and awkward. Told him to jog on, ended the call, and blocked the number straight away.

I received a call from a lady speaking with an Indian accent, and I'm afraid I found it quite difficult to decipher what she was saying. The only snippet I managed to grasp was her asking about my service provider. I mentioned that I couldn't make sense of her words and that I wasn't keen on continuing the conversation. A woman rang me purporting to be from O2, suggesting I could upgrade my phone and asked if I was interested in doing so today (02/12/2021). I quickly realised it was a scam, especially since I’m not even with O2! I warned her off and she promptly ended the call. Steer clear of these fraudsters!

Luckily, the Google Phone app stopped this number from ringing through, but I had a feeling it was some kind of scam. A few mates down here in South Wales have had the same caller and said it sounded like someone from India with a poor accent. Honestly, if scammers wanna try this, at least sort it out properly!

I received a rather dodgy call from a woman with an Indian accent who claimed she was representing Carphone Warehouse, trying to persuade me to upgrade to an iPhone 13. When I requested that she send the details via email, she swiftly transferred me to her supervisor - a chap with a similar accent. He wanted my email for 'data protection' reasons, and I hastily provided it. When he asked me to spell it out, I couldn’t help but wonder why he couldn’t see it himself. Before I could finish my thought, he simply hung up on me. Quite a peculiar interaction, if you ask me!
