Got a call from someone claiming to be from O2, though I've never even been with them. The lady on the line had a really thick accent from the Indian sub-continent, so it was a bit hard to catch everything she was saying. She was trying to push some sort of deal, but didn't explain much about it. I quickly said I wasn’t interested at all and ended the call.

Absolutely devoid of wit! Some chap rang me up, asserting he was from Carphone Warehouse. I made it quite clear that I had no interest, and then he had the audacity to inquire about the phone I’m using. I simply replied, “The one in my pocket, since you just called me on it!” He then proceeded to hurl expletives my way, calling me a right muppet, and had the cheek to ring me back twice more to repeat his insults! Quite laughable, really.

I received a call from a chap with a pronounced Indian accent claiming to represent "Uh, um, car...phone...house." To be honest, I hung up on him rather quickly; I doubt he’ll be successful with his con when he can’t even recall the name of the company he’s pretending to be from!

When I queried why they weren’t using the typical O2 phone number, they sidestepped the question. I pressed them on how I could verify their authenticity as O2 representatives. Their response was that I could return their call on the given number. I declined, expressing my scepticism about their claims, and they simply said 'okay' before hanging up. To their credit, they weren’t rude or aggressive in their manner.

Definitely felt like I was talking to some sort of overseas call centre, I could hear a bunch of foreign voices in the background. At one point, I reckon she thought the call ended, but I still heard her chatting away in what sounded like an Asian language to someone else. She insisted she knew exactly which phone I had and guessed it was either an iPhone or Samsung - which it's not at all.
