At about 2 in the afternoon, I got a call from 01261 375777 claiming to be TalkTalk. When I tried calling back, the number wouldn’t connect - looks like it’s from Banff in Scotland. The message was a lady warning that our TalkTalk broadband and phone would be cut off soon. The thing is, we don’t even have TalkTalk! We ignored the prompt to press 1 or 2 for more info and just hung up straight away. It’s pretty typical though, we get loads of calls from “International” or “Withheld” numbers, usually around midday to mid-afternoon.
