This sounds fishy to me, how can it be Lloyds, Halifax, Boots and all sorts of other random callers? Something doesn't add up here.

Got a call from Halifax for some automatic check. Seems legit to me. No worries.

Got a call from Boots Hearing Care but it was just an automated voice, and they rang me super late at night which was really annoying.

Boots Hearing Care has been calling me late into the evening, and each time it’s just a recorded message. Quite annoying, really!

So, whenever you install the Lloyds Bank app on a new phone or tablet, this number rings you up with a 4-digit code. You’ve got to punch that code into the app to prove it’s actually you who’s sorting out the setup.

I got a call from someone saying they were from Halifax, needing to verify my bank details. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call from Lloyds Bank, but it was just one of those automated verification things. Bit annoying as I wasn’t expecting it, but at least it was clear it was from the bank.

Got a call from what looked like Lloyds/Halifax, but it was just some automated system trying to verify details. Seems like one of those robot calls. Quite annoying really.

I received a rather persistent automated call purportedly from Halifax, claiming I was in the process of establishing a direct debit for £28 linked to an account number ending in ****. Here's the kicker: I don't even hold an account with them! They rang me no less than seven times in a mere quarter of an hour. Quite the vexation, if you ask me!

I reckon it's probably Lloyds Bank trying to add a new payee to my current account.

Nuisance callers - nothing more than a bunch of time-sapping accident chasers.

Phone calls from these cold callers are nothing but a waste of time, always pushing some accident claim nonsense.

I got two calls back to back from this number, about two minutes apart. Luckily, I didn’t answer and it went straight to my voicemail. The voicemail said something about someone trying to use my 4 digit access code, but it didn’t say who was calling or what I was supposed to do next. Quite odd really.
