Someone rang saying they were from TV Licensing. I just hung up straight away since I’m away on holiday and didn’t want to deal with it.

(01259 764306) left a voicemail on my mobile saying they were from TV licensing, but the number on the message (0300 7906075) wasn’t the same as the one that called me, and it also didn’t match the real TV licence number exactly. I rang TV licensing myself from another phone and they said they hadn’t tried to contact me at all and told me to just ignore the message. If I were older, I might’ve fallen for it and ended up giving them my info.

Got a call roughly an hour ago from Sky Mobile pushing some budget SIM offer. Seemed to be from a call centre, but doesn't seem fishy since I had a similar ring from an 0345 number earlier who mentioned they'd ring back. Honestly think their team could do with brushing up on manners though, ‘cause making it sound like you're daft just coz you say no to their deal isn’t the way to keep customers!

An articulate guy phoned me on 16th September saying he was with the SIA. He mentioned he needed to ask a few questions for a survey aimed at enhancing training for SIA certified operatives. The SIA is a government body that certifies folks working in security, sometimes in very sensitive places. So far, I’ve had no reply from the SIA about where this man got my info from.
