Someone called claiming to be from BT Openreach, said they needed to access my computer to check my internet router because my speeds were apparently slow.

But when I asked to book an engineer to come out, the call just got cut off.

This happened today, 15/2/2021, about 09:25 in the morning.

I'm deaf and tried to get my husband to pick up for me, but by then the call had already ended.

got a call from some asian bloke claiming he was from BT, said my router had issues. told him it was fine and just ended the call.

some bloke with an asian accent called saying he was from british openreach. well, openreach dont normally ring up private people, their deals are with providers like plusnet. plusnet says everything's fine with my broadband and phone line. why would he throw in "british openreach"? kind of dodgy if u ask me. told him to jog on and slammed the phone down.
