I got a call from them at like 7.40 in the morning! I told them I’d only just woken up, and wondered who on earth calls someone so early? Told them not to ring me again and next thing I know, they’re swearing at me, saying stuff like “f off” and calling me really nasty names. Proper rude!

Got a really nasty call where they were threatening me with legal stuff. I can see why folks would be worried hearing things like that. To stop loads of these cold calls, I just tell them I’m not the homeowner, just the person taking care of them. Seems to help cut down the bother a bit.

This number has called me like four or five times now. Honestly, I feel bad for older folks who get calls like this - it sounds quite intimidating and not something you want if you’re on your own and unsure how to handle it.

Honestly, the phone providers need to step up and block these numbers before they even ring through. It’s annoying that we’re the ones stuck blocking endless nuisance calls all the time. I’ve gotten better at spotting scams now, so mostly the only calls I get on my landline are from these pestering scammers. It’s really frustrating because I keep my number pretty private - only close family and mates have it - so when these rude interruptions come through, especially at times you’d expect a proper chat like early evenings or Saturday mornings, it’s a real letdown.

Got a voicemail from this number saying something about legal trouble and that I had to ring them back straight away, but they gave no real info. I got one of those automated calls as well, a recorded message left on my voicemail. I just caught the start of it before hanging up. Then I dialled 1572 straight away to block the number. Honestly, these scam folks are the worst.

Got a call from this number around 4.25pm today. Just like loads of others, it was supposedly HMRC. Didn’t catch the whole 0203 number bit, so I tried calling the number back, but it didn’t show up. I’m no spring chicken but I do know a scam when I hear one. I reckon these calls could seriously stress out older folks with health problems. They really ought to be stopped. I’m one annoyed pensioner, that’s for sure.

Total scam, don’t even bother answering. I’ve gotten this call a couple of times this year. I guess if they ring loads of people, someone might actually be daft enough to get back to them. It was a woman’s voice, but seriously, who ends a proper official message with “Take care”? Thought that was a bit odd. I’m pretty sure they’re overseas scammers because anyone from HMRC wouldn’t be calling you about problems over the phone. Watch out everyone!

I've had this number ring me 3 times already today. They left messages on my voicemail saying either me or my lawyer has to ring them back. They claim the matter is urgent and if I don’t return their call, legal steps will be taken straight away. They never mentioned who they were representing. I’m on the TPS list, so they shouldn’t even have access to my phone number. Something really needs to be done to stop these annoying calls.

I’ve got an accountant who sorts out all my tax, VAT and company returns, so the call was a bit odd. Plus, if there was really an issue, I’d have expected a letter rather than just a quick message.
