Honestly, the phone providers need to step up and block these numbers before they even ring through. It’s annoying that we’re the ones stuck blocking endless nuisance calls all the time. I’ve gotten better at spotting scams now, so mostly the only calls I get on my landline are from these pestering scammers. Got a call from this number around 4.25pm today. Just like loads of others, it was supposedly HMRC. Didn’t catch the whole 0203 number bit, so I tried calling the number back, but it didn’t show up. I’m no spring chicken but I do know a scam when I hear one. I reckon these calls could seriously stress out older folks with health problems. They really ought to be stopped. Total scam, don’t even bother answering. I’ve gotten this call a couple of times this year. I guess if they ring loads of people, someone might actually be daft enough to get back to them. It was a woman’s voice, but seriously, who ends a proper official message with “Take care”? Thought that was a bit odd.
