Got a call from an automated bloke warning me my internet and landline would be shut off today. The robot told me to hit one to chat with the tech team or press two if I wanted to start the disconnection. I’m with the local Council, so yeah, reckon that’s not happening!

Got a voicemail from a guy claiming to be from BT, warning my phone line and internet would be disconnected. Total scam, really dodgy stuff! Best thing to do is just ignore it and definitely don’t hit 1!

These days, I just don’t keep my landline switched on. I only plug it in to check messages, then I unplug it straight away. It’s a shame, but that’s how things are nowadays. Technology really isn’t what it used to be, is it?

Today I got a call from this number (0125874695), and when I picked up, there was this automated message saying BT was about to cut off my broadband and phone line today. It asked me to press 1 to speak to support or 2 to confirm cancellation. I just ended the call straight away. Later, I rang BT directly to make sure everything was fine on their end, and everything was normal. So, this number definitely seems suspicious.

Got a call earlier on, sounded like some recorded message about BT cutting off my phone unless I pressed a bunch of buttons. Didn't bother to hear it all the way through and just hung up, felt like a dodgy scam. After that, I looked up the number here to be sure. We're not even BT customers, but I always thought BT was trustworthy and wouldn't do anything like this. Cheers for having this site to check who's calling!

Today I got two calls from this number, each time a different voice but both were automated messages claiming to be from BT saying our BT internet would be disconnected by the end of the day. The first time, I hung up almost straight away since I’m not even a BT customer, neither for phone nor internet. The second call I let run till the end, and the recording told whoever answered to press 1 - no clue what would happen if you actually did, but I’d definitely advise against it.

Got a call today around 2:06pm from a bloke with a really posh English accent. He said it was "forwarded from BT" and basically warned me that my phone and internet would be disconnected within a day. Honestly, it freaked me out a bit, and I’m not easily scared! I quickly wrote down all the details, then jumped online to look up the number since it didn’t look right to me - felt suspiciously short. What a relief to find others saying the same thing! Heart’s still pounding though. No moves from me except logging this here for reference.

I've been getting these calls regularly, probably every few weeks, and I reckon they come from those BT call centres in India running the same scam over and over. I've reported it to BT loads of times but nothing changes. Seems like they gather numbers from BT's own services or maybe those car insurance firms that sell personal info of folks in the UK just to make some cash.
