The number is usually unrecognised when called back. These calls often happen early in the morning and can be distressing, especially for older or vulnerable people. Some callers report silence or quick goodbyes before hanging up. Background noise suggests a call centre, but the calls are frustrating, annoying, and suspected to be fraudulent attempts to trick people into revealing personal info. received a call from 01257898099, a woman with a foreign accent was really polite initially, telling me something about an issue with my router. i asked how she got my number and told her i wasn’t having any problems. she asked if i was certain, then just ended the call. i tried ringing back but the number doesnt seem to be valid or registered anywhere.

Just got a ring from some dodgy lot claiming there's an issue with my router or computer or something. When I asked where they got my contact from, I told this woman with a weird accent I didn't have any problems. She asked, "Are you sure?" then suddenly ended the call. Tried ringing them back on 01257898099 but the number wasn’t even real. Honestly, these scam calls are getting on my nerves now.

I picked up and the guy goes, "Hello, I'm Raymond." I just said, "And?" then nothing, total silence.

The call just ended with silence and a quiet 'goodbye' - it really scared my elderly mum.

This number keeps ringing me first thing, around 7:45 in the morning. Since I have kids and grandkids, I always pick up straight away, thinking one of them might need a hand. But when I answer, there's silence for a few seconds before a woman quietly says "bye" and hangs up. She doesn't sound like she's from abroad or anything. This has happened a few times now, and honestly, it’s a bit frustrating and annoying.

Waited a bit but then finally heard a voice. Loads of background noise, sounded like a busy call centre. The woman on the line had an Indian accent but I couldn’t make out what she was saying. Ended up hanging up.
