I got a call from a woman pushing me to buy advertising on the back of a GP’s business card. She set up a meeting with a bloke named Ken who was meant to visit the next day and collect £95, but apparently only by bank transfer, cash or cheque. Later, Ken rang from a mobile saying he was outside my shop, asking me to confirm I was in. Complete rip-off! I’m shocked these lot are still operating. When I asked for a contact number to call back, she gave me a nearly identical number, but it was dead - just two digits off. Watch out for this scam!

Got a call from a lady who said she was with some accident dept or something. She claimed I'd been in a crash, which I definitely had not. When I told her that, she just ended the call straight away.

Whenever I get calls from numbers I don't recognise, I usually answer but then just let the phone rest on a table so they can hear nothing. I left it like that for about 10 minutes this time. If they decide to call again, i'll probably do the same. Honestly, they should consider finding some real work.

I told them I don’t agree to anything without looking into it properly first, so asked for all info to be sent through by email. They took my email but never followed up.
