I got a call from a guy with an English accent who kept going on about selling me new windows, saying something weird like "your windows are jealous of your doors!" Which made no sense at all. When I tried to talk to him, he just ignored me and kept repeating the same line. After I asked if he was just reading off some script, he suddenly got really awkward and just hung up on me. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

I picked up and said "hello", then got some bloke saying "Hi, this is Sam from the Home Improvement Centre" and launching into their usual spiel about how windows envy your door or something. Last time I just asked "what's my address?" and the call got cut off - thought they'd have removed me from their list by now. So this time I yelled back "what's my name?" and, strangely enough, they hung up again. Proper muppets, honestly!

It's a automated voice, not a real person, pushing you to say certain words - don't fall for it. I told the caller I'd already sold my driveway to a mate and that it’s over a thousand years old. Then the call just ended abruptly.

It seems that this caller hails from "the solar centre," a firm specialising in compact solar lights based in Harpenden, whilst Sam mentioned they were based in Devon. He was keen on gathering quite a few details - I wasn’t exactly honest with him - and I’ve been left in a bit of a limbo, awaiting a response from his supervisor. Strangely enough, Chris then shared that their products now originate from Snugbug in Southampton, which, as luck would have it, is primarily a solar panel enterprise. I put Chris on hold as I did a bit of research on them and had a natter on my mobile; I assume he grew tired of waiting and decided to disconnect. If you fancy a bit of mischief with them, I say go for it! I haven't enjoyed myself this much in ages!

Got a call on my landline last week and again just now. Last week the number was blocked, but today it showed up as 01256 806870. The bloke on the phone last time said something weird like “your new front door is making your old windows look bad,” so I just hung up. Today I let him talk a bit longer, and it was the same guy asking how old my windows were. I made it clear I don’t want him ringing me back ever again.

Received an unsolicited call on our private number from someone attempting to pitch a driveway service of some kind.

I just got a call from someone saying they were from "The Driveway Centre" and they wanted to know if I still own a driveway. That struck me as quite odd! I asked if anyone had actually used my number to get in touch with them, and all they did was say "OKAY" and then hung up. After reading other comments here, I'm pretty sure this is a scam.
