Someone just called me but ended up hanging up before I could even answer.

I picked up the phone but they just cut off right away. Didn't have a clue who it was until I checked this site. I've gone ahead and blocked that number now.

Got a call from a bloke with an asian accent claiming to be from BT accounts. He said because i’ve been a customer for ages, he’d cancel my charges for the next 3 months. I didn’t give out my name and when i asked him for a contact number to verify, he just dropped the call. Seems dodgy and like a scam to me.

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be with BT accounts. They said since I pay my bills on time through direct debit, I qualified for three months of free line rental. Then she asked to confirm my postcode, saying she needed to send a letter, but she ended up giving me an old postcode and even mentioned my dad’s name - he passed away over a decade ago! Needless to say, I just ended the call right there.
