Got a call from a number and asked for the person by name, saying they’d talked to them before. Right away, it felt like a scam. When I tried to offer help or ask questions, the caller just hung up on me. Over the span of two days, I got three calls from someone wanting to talk to the CEO by name, claiming they needed to pick up on a chat they'd had before. Every time I said he wasn't around, this person promised to ring back. So eventually, I checked with the CEO and he said he’d never heard of this “John”. They say they’re from Rubix or Rubik, keep asking for the director by name and lie, claiming they’ve already talked to him. When I ask what the call’s about, they just keep quiet. Got a really unpleasant bloke on the phone asking for the company director. When I told him she wasn’t around, he said he’d ring back the next day. I asked his name, he said James, then suddenly said he’d just send her an email instead. When I wanted to know where he was calling from, he began with “It’s Jacob from...” and hung up straight away. Funny how he used two different names in one call!
