I picked up the phone since I recognised the area code. A chap was on the line, just using my husband's first name, and when I mentioned that he wasn't at home, I offered my assistance. After what felt like an eternity of silence, he replied with a rather lengthy "no" and promised to ring back. Next time I’ll be sure to inquire who’s on the other end, but I can’t shake this nagging feeling that it might be a dodgy number.
