Got a call today from someone saying they were from Virgin Media, but I’m pretty sure it was a scam. Didn’t sound legit at all!

I’m not exactly certain who it was that called me, but after checking the number out and reading through the comments, it’s clear to me it’s probably a scam. Big thanks to everyone who shared their heads-up and wrote about their experience with this number. Really grateful for the info!

They keep ringing up, saying my broadband's been hacked or something and then tryin to get my personal info. Makes me really wish there was a way to block numbers on a landline. So frustrating!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Skye, supposedly about my internet speed. I told them I was busy with work and couldn't chat, but they kept pushing. Lucky I cut it short, seemed like a scam to me. It felt risky because they immediately asked what kind of laptop or device I was using. Who knows what else they might have tried to get from me if I'd let them continue.

I got a call from 01256479872 about internet stuff, but the bloke wouldn’t really explain anything or answer my questions properly. He kept going on and on, sounded like he had an Asian accent, but nothing he said made sense at all! I’m honestly thinking of reporting this to the cops because it felt off.

They've rang me seven times since early this morning, like 6am or something. Finally picked up the last call and just went along with it, messing about to waste their time so they wouldn’t bother anyone else. It was something about BT internet problems, logging into a site, something like that. Only problem - I don’t even have BT for my internet!

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent talking about Virgin Media, sounded a bit dodgy to me. Feels like a scam, so just be careful if you get a similar call!

I've got a whole list of dodgy numbers, like 0113 2250038, 01625 250933, 01633 677875, 01434 634592, 02033649295 and this one here. I’ve flagged loads with Virgin Media and ICO already. If a number’s unfamiliar, just let it ring out and go to voicemail - they usually just give up and hang up after that.

This bloke said he was from Virgin Media, right? So I asked for my account number and he ended up spelling out M-O-T-H-E-R-F-U-C-K-E-R. I just told him he was a tw@t and knocked the phone off!

So, I got a call a moment ago from this number claiming to be Virgin, but I knew right away it was dodgy. Virgin people usually don’t have such a thick American accent that’s hard to get, and they definitely wouldn’t start with “How are you this afternoon ma’am” - they’d just state why they’re calling straight away. I’ve marked this number as risky.

Good grief! This number has called me eight times already today, starting from just after nine o'clock. They’re saying they’re from Virgin Media, but I've checked with Virgin directly, and they've assured me it's nothing but a scam. What a nuisance!

Someone rang claiming to be from Openreach about my router, but they just cut off straight away. The voice sounded Asian or something, definitely not Openreach. Total rubbish call.

These callers are such an annoyance, I picked up and could hear someone but then they just cut off the call. I’ve reported it to Ofcom, and I really urge everyone else to do the same so we can put an end to these idiots.

Somebody rang me today pretending to be from BT Openreach about my internet speed. I told them I’d get in touch with my actual broadband company if there was any problem and then just ended the call.

Gentleman with an Asian accent called claiming he was from BT, saying there was an issue with my phone line. I told him I'm not with BT, but he insisted they manage our lines as well and wanted me to go online to check. I wasn’t having it and ended the call straight away. They kept ringing after that, but I just let it ring out.

Today in Carnforth, Lancashire around 12:29pm, I received a call where the person on the other end was speaking in what seemed like a foreign language. I couldn’t understand a word they were saying. Quite confusing, thanks anyway!

I picked up the phone but there was no sound from the other side. Then the line just went dead, like the caller ended it immediately. No words were exchanged at all.

I noticed the call wasn’t from anyone I knew, so I decided to let it ring on. It went on for quite a while, but I wasn’t inclined to pick up.
