I received a rather alarming call earlier today, and it was a female automated voice notifying me about some suspicious activity on my bank account. Apparently, there’s a £300 charge from Amazon and a rather hefty £1100 international transfer. The recorded message instructed me to “press 1” if I wanted to halt the transaction or chat with an agent. Strangely, there was no mention of which bank was involved, and they didn’t actually engage in any real conversation-just the same old robotic spiel. This has happened twice already this morning!
