This week, every afternoon, I've been getting a recorded message on my answerphone from some automated voice talking about an "important message" for some bloke with the same number and a reference number they mentioned. I haven't got the slightest clue what they're on about and it all seems a bit dodgy to me - feels like a typical scam. Had a quick look on this site and now I’m just ignoring their calls. Most likely one of those debt collector tricks.

I'm living in central Scotland and just got a call from some woman sounding like a robot, saying I owe money with reference 2973940 and that I have to pay CARS over the phone immediately. They're totally dishonest and scammers. I've blocked the number. They're pestering me, but I reckon it could be risky if anyone actually answers them.

I received an urgent phone call today, 20th February 2018, from an outfit called CARF using this number. They provided a reference to mention when returning their call. It's worth noting that the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities is a legitimate, not-for-profit entity operating globally. It’s rather shameful how these unscrupulous individuals are misusing their name.
