I answered the phone and it sounded like the person was somewhere noisy, maybe a station or something, there was loads of background noise. I said hello but no reply, so I just ended the call. I could hardly catch what she was saying, some kind of garbled message about an upgrade... probably pushing an iPhone 11 for £15 a month, or claiming I already had one. She just kept babbling and nothing was clear. When I asked where she had my number from, her reply was just as confusing - something about a partner company, I think? My best bet is this was a dodgy caller. They really ought to speak properly if they want folks to understand them!

They won’t stop ringing me - I ignored the number twice while I was busy with a meeting, but then it rang three more times in quick succession, proper relentless! Thankfully, I use an app that flags scam numbers with a "!" on my screen, so I’m cautious about picking up unknown calls. Still, these lot keep going unless you block ’em. Sharing this so mates and family don’t fall for it! From what I’ve read in other comments, they’re trying to scam folks about broadband, O2 or Carphone Warehouse stuff. Best not to answer at all.

I just picked up a call where the guy on the other end sounded really out of it, like he’d been on the drink.
