Fraudulent call alert! I received a rather aggressive phone call from a man purporting to be from Openreach, claiming my broadband connection was on the verge of termination. He was exceedingly insistent. When I confronted him, stating that I recognised it as a scam, he retorted, ‘Feel free to report me, but your broadband will be cut off!’ This is quite alarming, especially for vulnerable individuals who might be coerced into believing such threats. It’s crucial that we raise awareness about this type of deception to protect our elderly population from potential financial exploitation.
