I picked up the phone and all I heard was a strange sound for a second before the line just dropped. Feels like it could be a scam to me.

I got a call from someone with an Indian accent, sounded like a call centre. As soon as he started talking, he forgot I could hear him and began chatting in another language to a mate in the background. When he noticed I was listening, he suddenly switched to "This is Vodafone, we need to cancel your number". Then asked how much I was paying monthly and said I had to "upgrade my SIM". I played along for a while pretending I wasn’t a Vodafone customer, but lost interest and ended the call.
