I didn’t pick up since my phone flagged the call as maybe being a scam. Honestly, glad I ignored it after reading all these comments! Lately, loads of different numbers have been ringing me, but I reckon it’s all the same lot. My phone keeps warning me about possible scams. Now they’ve started using mobile numbers, probably trying to trick me that way. So watch out for dodgy mobile numbers too! I always just think if it’s important, they’ll leave a voicemail.

I got a call from a lady with a thick accent, I think she might have been from somewhere near India but I'm not too sure. Tried to catch what she was saying but all I heard was something about "Curry’s Mobile business," which confused me as I don’t use Curry’s at all. I told her straight up it sounded like a scam and ended the call. This isn’t the first time she’s rung me either. She’s also used the number "01286 333004". Honestly, I’d say just block her and don’t bother answering if she calls you.

So, this sales chap enquired about the type of phone I was using. I replied, "Oh, just a basic model, considering you're on the line!" It was obvious I was speaking to someone from an overseas call centre, and he rather politely suggested I get lost... to which I cheekily retorted that I’d catch up with his mum later on!

I had a rather unfortunate encounter with a woman of Asian descent who struggled quite a bit with her English. She attempted to discuss a mobile phone contract proposal, but it quickly became apparent that communication was proving rather difficult. After a few moments of me not understanding her and vice versa, she abruptly hung up - quite cheeky, if you ask me. Definitely seemed like a scammer, so I’ve added her to my blocked list. Best to steer clear!

Just a fiver a month! I was really on the edge, but in the end, I thought better of it. Just blocked their number!

Got a call on my phone around 9 in the morning on a Wednesday. The number showed up as from Clacton, but the line was terrible and the accent didn’t sound like anywhere near Clacton. I had to ask her to repeat herself quite a few times. She said she was Alvina from Curry's Mobile trying to pitch me a deal. I played along for a while but then she just cut the call. Not sure if it was some scam to get personal info or just annoying spam. Either way, best to ignore it.

It appears the call was purportedly from 'Currys Mobile' promoting their mobile phone offers. The chap sounded like he was just going through the motions with a script, and I very much doubt he's actually based anywhere near Clacton! He did wrap up the conversation in a courteous manner, though.

I received a call from this number claiming to be Carphone Warehouse. I have to say, it’s a dodgy operation. They lure you in with promises of a mobile contract, but they end up sending you the wrong phone entirely. Then they pressure you into sending it back, leaving you with nothing but a massive contract in your name. It gets worse; they misuse your personal information to attempt to secure credit. Best to steer clear of this!
