Someone called me claiming they could stop all those pesky calls, but pretty quickly it turned sketchy. They started asking about my bank card details, like which one it was, the expiry date and even the name on the account. I played along a bit with made-up info before telling them I knew it was a scam and just ended the call. No doubt about it, they were trying to scam me.

These lot ring up all the time, sound like they're from abroad. Funny thing is, they don't even bother with a last name for me! When I checked on the map, noticed there’s nobody getting calls up here in the Scottish Highlands. Maybe I’m the first one they’ve tried?!

Got a call from a lady claiming they were upgrading my call blocking, something I haven’t actually got. She wanted me to verify my name and credit card expiry date, so I gave her a made-up one. Then she put me through to her “supervisor” who repeated the details and asked for the full 16-digit card number. I told them there’s no way, this is clearly a scam and I’m not daft. Then I just ended the call.

Got a call from a lady claiming they were refreshing my call blocking service - which I actually don’t use. She wanted me to verify my name and my credit card’s expiry date; I just gave her some random numbers. Then she handed me to her ‘manager’, who repeated the same questions and then asked for the 16-digit number across the card. I wasn’t having any of it and told them straight up it’s a scam and asked if I looked that daft. End of conversation.

Got a call supposedly from some Call Blocking Service, and they wanted me to confirm my credit card info. They kept saying they needed to check if my card was still valid, but wouldn’t tell me what details exactly. It all felt really fishy to me. I told them the only annoying calls I get are actually from these so-called call blockers! Definitely a scam, watch out for this!

Tried calling the number back but it’s not showing up anywhere. They rang me twice today claiming to be from some nuisance call prevention team and wanted to check the expiry date on my visa debit card I use for direct debits. I asked them which card they meant and for the last four digits, but they couldn’t answer, just kept going on about needing to verify the expiry date. Felt really dodgy to me.

I got a call from a woman claiming they were refreshing my call blocking setup, which I actually don’t have. She wanted me to verify my name and credit card expiration, so I just gave her a fake date. Then she handed me over to her so-called “supervisor”, who repeated the details and then asked for the full 16-digit number on the card. I wasn’t falling for that and told them straight up this is a scam and I’m not daft. Then I ended the call.
