Got a call not long back from some bloke named Norman, sounded like he was from Lancashire. He was going on about some issue and how someone was trying to mess with my phone line. Asked me what lights were flashing on my router and stuff. In the end, he just dropped the call on me. Proper annoying, and this isn’t the first time it’s happened either.

This number called my wife a few times over the last two days. The bloke on the phone had an Asian accent and claimed he was with TalkTalk. He began asking stuff about our router, but my wife wasn’t having it and told him to call back and speak to me instead. Seemed like a total scam to me. Got a call earlier today from a guy with an Asian accent claiming to be from TalkTalk tech support. He told me my router had been hacked by others, which was causing issues. I told him my internet was fine. Then he wanted to know what kind of computer I use. I refused to share any details and asked him how I could be sure he was really from TalkTalk. He began rambling about some customer reference number, and that’s when I just hung up.

A few days back, I started getting calls from this number. The first time I picked up, it sounded like a normal landline, so I thought it might be legit. It was a guy with an accent pretending to be from TalkTalk’s tech support. I quickly ended the call. Then, yesterday, the same number called several times but I didn’t pick up. Just now they called again, this time a woman with a foreign accent who even used my name, again saying she was from TalkTalk tech. I hung up and blocked the number straight away, but I’m sure they’ll just use a different one and keep pestering. Why is there no way to put a stop to these annoying scams???

This morning I got a call claiming my TalkTalk internet IP was compromised by several groups in Germany and elsewhere. They tried to pass me to an "engineer" to explain things further. I said I needed proof they were legit and that I’d ring customer support myself to check. When I asked for their name and phone number, they hung up right away.

I got called three times earlier today by someone saying there was a problem with my broadband. They wanted to know how many bars were showing on my router. I said I was about to leave, so couldn’t really chat. Then they rang a couple more times but I didn’t pick up after that. I looked up the number on TalkTalk and they said it was a scam, so best not to answer these sorts of calls.

Got a call from someone claiming to be my ISP’s tech support, but when I played clueless and asked them to tell me who my internet provider actually is, they just went quiet. Bit odd if you ask me.

Yesterday I got about six calls from this number, picked up three times. The people claimed to be from Talk Talk and asked about the signal bars on my router. When I told them to stop calling because it was really annoying, they started swearing and being rude. On the other hand, Talk Talk’s official support was quite helpful, though it took a bit of time to get through everything. Hey, I've hit the limit on my TalkTalk block list - it only lets you block 10 numbers, and most of them are from annoying calls like this one, some even from abroad. To stop more of these pestering calls, I gotta delete one first, which is a bit of a pain! Honestly, I don’t have time to mess about with this. TalkTalk really ought to ban these numbers at their end once we report them, so we can still block the usual number of contacts on our account without hassle.

WARNING! Got a call from an Asian guy pretending to be from Talk Talk. They already have loads of your details but don’t trust a word they say. They want you to switch on your PC and then bombard you with pointless questions before pushing you to install some remote access software. If you do, they could control your entire computer! Heard Talk Talk had a security breach not too long ago, and even though they claimed no customer info was taken, some personal stuff has definitely leaked. Make sure you inform the cops if this happens to you.

Got a couple of calls today. Missed the first one, but picked up the second - a guy claiming to be from the tech team of my internet provider. I asked him which supplier he meant since everything's fine with my internet and laptop. He quickly said he must have dialled the wrong number. These calls are getting on my nerves, especially as some days they say I’m with Virgin, then the next day it’s BT. Best to keep your mouth shut with these lot.
