this number has been ringing me a lot recently, and the last few calls were really rude. the bloke says he's from some bnb directory or something. ive told him loads of times if im interested i’ll get in touch myself. today i told him to stop calling, but his reply was awful, i won’t even repeat it! also noticed if i dont pick up on the landline, he immediately rings back from a mobile number. quite annoying honestly.

Absolutely a con! They're masquerading as though they're from the B&B Directory, claiming that your listing needs renewing and attempting to extract money from you. I confirmed this by reaching out to the genuine B&B Directory, and they assured me that the only contact number they have is the one featured on their own official site. Fortunately, I had my documents close at hand and could confirm that our listing wasn't up for renewal at all. I did inform the B&B Directory about my findings, but they didn’t seem particularly bothered.

We operate a charming bed and breakfast in Northumberland and are proudly listed with the genuine REAL B and B Directory. Contrary to popular belief, they're not situated in Blackburn nor are they affiliated with Gatenby Services. This is undoubtedly a fraudulent scheme. A quick search for "B and B Directory Blackburn" will reveal their contact number starting with 01254******* along with the name Chris; however, upon clicking through, you’re redirected to the authentic REAL B and B Directory, which has entirely different addresses and contact details. I also have a hunch that many of the reviews here claiming this isn’t a scam could very well be the work of those perpetrating the ruse themselves. I’m spreading the word about this across as many comments as I can. Stay vigilant, folks!

I’ve had a few calls from this number in the past. The chap claims he’s updating a directory for B&Bs and comes across as rather courteous and professional at first. However, when I politely declined his offer (honestly, no rudeness on my part) and hung up, he rang back and started hurling some truly vile language my way.
