I got a call from this number claiming it was from Amazon Prime. The automated message said my subscription was going to renew on the 15th August, which was actually true. It told me to press 1 if I wanted to cancel and speak to someone. When I did, a woman asked me to open my laptop, which seemed a bit dodgy. Then she gave me an IP address to enter, and I quickly twigged that she was trying to take control of my computer remotely. I ended the call straight away. She rang back and was quite pushy, but I just said I’d check with Amazon myself. After that, she just hung up.
