Today I got a call from a lady saying she was a BT engineer based in Blackburn. She told me there’d been some dodgy activity on my broadband and insisted she needed to get into my computer to install antivirus software and sort out the security. At first, it seemed genuine so I started doing what she asked, but then something felt off and I figured she was trying to hack me. I ended the call straight away and phoned BT myself. They confirmed no one like that is employed by them! Really glad I didn’t fall for it!
