Sounds like it was probably one of those PPI calls like people mentioned. They left a really confusing voicemail I couldn’t make sense of. Just deleted it and blocked the number straight away.

Some bloke with a weird accent rang saying I hadn’t sorted my PPI claim. I asked him how he got my number but he just kept going on and on. I hardly ever use my mobile, so must be some random call or summat. Told him I don’t have any PPI to claim, but he just kept rabbiting away, so I ended the call. Why can't BT shut down these scammy calls? Bet they’re cashing in somehow, so no one bothers. Typical BT if you ask me!

Answers the call and all I get is quiet, keeps ringing non-stop.

I use a call blocker, but no matter how many times I block them they just ring back from a new number. Now I don’t pick up if I don’t know who’s calling. Some of the numbers are 01298 430282, 0114 440 2935, 01724 637297, 01687 683633, 0756 046959 and loads more. I’m using AVG’s blocker but these lot seem to figure out when I’ve blocked them and just try calling from what’s probably a fake number. If you ring back, they keep you on the line and charge a hidden premium rate. They’re proper nasty con artists. There should be tougher action against them.

Got a call about PPI from a bloke who sounded American. He wouldn’t accept no as an answer, so I ended up having to just hang up on him.

Got a call from these lot on my phone about some PPI thing. I told the bloke I didn’t have any claims, but he just didn’t listen and kept going on and on. Told him to stop calling me, but he just ignored me and talked over what I was saying, so I ended up hanging up. Blocked the number now.

Got a call from some lady with a weird foreign accent claiming to be from the BBC or something. Told her straight up I never share my number and have no idea how she got it! Then just hung up. How do these people find your number anyway? It was on my old phone I only keep for emergencies!

I've grown increasingly fed up with this particular number. There's no chance I'll pick up; I'm utterly fed up with these sorts of calls bugging me. I once answered a call from a number that looked a bit like this one, only to be met with some bloke from Asia spouting nonsense. He was prattling on, asking for all sorts of information under the guise of trying to assist me. The kicker is, I'm on pay-as-you-go, but I'm not even with O2-I'm an EE customer! So, quite frankly, I don't trust this number one bit. I've gone ahead and blocked it and reported it!

Got a voicemail from them. In background, I heard someone mention “BCC, that’s Blackburn Claims Ltd” on another call - couldn’t find anything about this company on Google. I’ve blocked the number now.

Last week, I received some calls on my Vodafone mobile from this number, and it was the first time I’ve encountered it. Honestly, I’m not keen on receiving any more calls like that.

Had no clue what they were on about so I just hung up, kinda funny tho. Kept saying “what?” They just ramble on quicker and even less clear. Gotcha with a British number, bloody idiots.

Just received a call from this number a mere eleven minutes ago, and the caller was banging on about how I might be due a hefty sum for PPI. Mind you, I’m only 11 and don’t even have a bank account! I didn’t mention that little detail, though. When I requested his name, he mumbled it too quickly to catch. Then, when I asked for the name of the company, it sounded like he blurted out Blackburn (or something similar) Centre. When I probed about the account, he said it was under the name Harry ****. I had to tell him that’s not my name, and I firmly stated that I didn’t want him calling again; otherwise, he'd find himself blocked and reported for being a scammer. At that, he hung up. I seem to be inundated with calls daily from a variety of numbers, including 020 3519 8909, 01497 870103, 01409 404170, 01406 455090, 01757 322127, and 01284 277127, just to name a few. These chaps from some Indian call centre have no clue they’re just shouting at my voicemail. Been getting loads of these calls recently. “Hello, how are you today, hello? Are you there?” Mate, I can’t hear you - you’re just leaving a message. Straight onto the blocked numbers list they go.

It seems I've been bombarded by some rather thick individuals from an Indian call centre recently. They don't seem to grasp that they're addressing a voicemail! I'll get these blokes leaving messages that go something like, “Alright there, how's your day going? Can you hear me?” Well, I can't hear you, mate, as you're busy recording a voicemail! Straight onto the block list you go.
