She said her name was Hayley and claimed Dr Schmitgen sent her, but he hasn't been working for ages. For sure he wasn’t there on 26-6-2020. When I figured out it was a scam, she just dropped the call while texting people at once. Then I got an automated message saying they’d ring me back, but they never did.

I received a call on both my home phone and my mobile. When I returned the call, I was greeted by a recorded message saying that an NHS service had attempted to reach me and advised me not to worry, as they'd be in touch again soon. My smartphone even hinted it was from the district nurse's office! Curious, I rang up the district nurse hub only to find out they had no record of any such contact. It seems this was a scam, but I can't pinpoint what sort of scam it might be.
