Today, I had a rather peculiar chap named Tom ring me up, claiming he wanted to have a chinwag about my loft insulation. He went on about how the government is supposedly rolling out some initiative that offers free renovations to select individuals, and lo and behold, I was allegedly one of those fortunate few. While he was waffling on, I happened to be at my computer, so I did a quick search for this so-called scheme and found absolutely no trace of it in my area. I politely declined his offer, hung up the phone, and decided to come here to sound the alarm about this dodgy con.
