I received a call from someone purporting to be from the Bank of Ireland's fraud department, alleging that there were two transactions made on my debit card early this morning. They mentioned a €150 charge for a mobile phone on eBay and another hefty €1100 for a Western Union transfer. The catch? I don’t even hold an account with the Bank of Ireland! To make matters more unsettling, they had my full name and residential address. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!
