So I answered the phone at my nan’s place, she’s 80, and this woman with a funny accent was on the line. She said my nan was paying £7 every month for her TV, but they could lower it to £5. I asked my nan and she said she wasn’t paying anything for the TV at all. Then the woman switched and said it was actually insurance for the TV. I checked with my nan again, and she said no, there wasn’t any insurance. I told the woman she was lying about the £7, and then about dropping it to £5. I added that what she was doing wasn’t right, and that’s when she just hung up!

Got a call from a guy who said his name was Scott from Home Serve Solutions about lowering my TV insurance. Then I was transferred to a woman who confirmed the insurance was being reduced and mentioned she'd post me a letter to confirm. However, she then tried to get my bank details. Normally, I'd just hang up on calls like this, but since my TV insurance is actually with Home Serve, I was a bit thrown. No idea how they got my info. Just a heads up to be careful.
