I got a call about car finance, and I just let them go on for a while. Then I said I had a few questions and asked if they were calling from Sector 5 in Calcutta. She replied no, they were from Blackpool. I told her that was odd because the number showed as coming from Blackburn. Then I asked if she knew where Blackpool is in the UK and waited quietly while she searched it online. Eventually, they got bored and ended the call before I did.

Got a call but no voicemail left. If it was a proper company, they’d leave a message with a phone number to get back to them. The number was blocked anyway. I called back and a woman picked up, saying “hello Ms” but I didn’t say anything so she just repeated “hello Ms” again and then hung up. That’s definitely not how you handle incoming business calls. Seems like zero customer service skills. Pretty clear this is a scam.

I got a call from this number last night, but I chose not to pick up given the hour. When I tried returning the call, I was met with nothing but silence on the other end-a proper answer machine that didn’t say a thing. After that, I’ve decided to block the number altogether, especially since I had seven suspicious calls that same day from a mix of landlines and mobile numbers. Just a heads up, in this day and age, it’s wise to be wary of all the tricksters out there pretending to be genuine; they're just after your personal details!

Honestly, these muppets are proper dim, haha. You usually find scam artists pretty sharp, but these lot are on another level of stupid. I sometimes wonder why the government doesn't just send some choppers over to their places in India, sort them out once and for all. They ring me up every few hours without fail. BEWARE IT’S A SCAM! Make sure you report any dodgy calls or texts straight to the police fraud database. Just search ‘action fraud’ on Google and head over to the ‘police.uk’ website. Find the ‘report a phishing attempt’ section and carefully read all the guidance. Then put in the details of the scam, including any website links or URLs you have. You don’t need to register or give personal info unless you’ve actually lost money to the scam. The more we report this rubbish, the better chance the police have at keeping track of these crooks trying to scam us.
