Got a call about doing a survey on energy efficiency that might save me some cash. I hung up straight away, then checked the number online and ended up blocking it.

I received a rather unpleasant call from this number earlier. The individual on the line insisted he was representing a loan company and presented a loan opportunity. However, he then requested an initial payment before anything could proceed, which seemed highly dubious to me.

Someone called saying they were doing an energy survey in my area and had all my details like my full name, number, and address, which seemed quite sketchy. When I asked what exactly they wanted, they got all jittery and just ended the call. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Don't pick up, it's a total scam. They'll just keep ringing you all the time, even late at night. When I said I'd call the cops, they started getting really rude and aggressive.

Some guy rang me about a loan payment and straight away asked for £145 upfront. I refused, and then he said he’d try to take £199 from my bank. When I warned him I’d report him to the police, he got really angry and started shouting down the phone. I ended the call, but then he kept ringing me non-stop. I just ignored all the calls after that.

I got a call from some bloke saying he could cut our water and sewage bills by 5%. He kept mentioning England, but we live in Wales. He was really pushing that we’d save cash, but after telling him several times that we pay exactly for what we use, he finally gave up. Quite persistent, but totally pointless!
