Got a text from this number about my car warranty running out - which is funny, coz I dont even own a car - and it had a suspicious link in it. Sounds like one of those scams to me.

I used to be with WarrantyWise but chose not to continue my cover. Since then, they’ve been quite persistent ringing me from this same number quite a few times. It’s not a scam though, just a bit bothersome. I actually answered a couple of calls from them and they definitely had all my info, so it’s legit even if a bit annoying at times.

I didnt even get a ring, it went straight to voice mail. Got some weird garbled voice about car insurance or something. Just a pain really, probably a scam more than anything else.

Back on 15/10/2020, I got a message from +447786200695 saying "Last chance to extend or upgrade your Warrantywise warranty with 40% off and 2 months FREE. Ring 01254355105". Then on 28/10/2020, another text came from +441254355105 with nearly the same offer but this time telling me to call 01254355195. Just to add, before all this, I’d bought a second-hand car from a dealer in Plymouth on 18/09/2020 and had opted for a warranty deal with it.

Last night I kept getting calls on my phone from this number and a few others that looked the same. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a proper UK company ringing at that hour, so it’s probably one of those scam calls from India. Don’t trust it!

Got a phone call I never asked for, so best to steer clear of those.

Avoid Warranty Wise at all costs. Their online reputation is dreadful, and honestly, if it hadn’t come bundled with my car, I wouldn’t go near them. They keep ringing me up even after I’ve asked them repeatedly to stop. Total nightmare.
