I received a call that purported to be from BT’s technical team, stating: “Your internet service will be terminated today; for further information, please press ‘1’.” They also offered an option to cancel my internet by pressing ‘2.’ However, the number appeared to be unreachable when I tried to call back - so I’ve blocked it for good measure. It’s quite unfortunate it was merely a recording; I really would have appreciated the opportunity to confront this deceitful, dishonest individual behind this fraudulent scheme! What a cheeky swindle!

I received a rather suspicious call purportedly from the technical department of BT, stating ominously that my internet connection would be terminated today. They urged me to press '1' for further information, and if I fancied cancelling my internet service, I was to hit '2.' However, when I attempted to return the call, the number was unreachable. I've made sure to block it from any future attempts. Quite a few folks have shared similar experiences in other threads, too!
