Received a rather peculiar call earlier, inquiring whether I was affiliated with a place called 'Marketplace', claiming there was an unpaid bill linked to it. I had absolutely no clue what they were on about, so I swiftly blocked the number. Is this really how some people operate? Quite odd, if you ask me.

The number appears to be from Blackpool, England. They tend to ring with an assertive tone, stating, "Might we request an update on your meter number due to a change in the lease for your premises?" When I inquired about their company's website, they abruptly ended the call. On a subsequent attempt, they claimed that they had no online presence and were reaching out because you’re on an emergency contract, attempting to 'assist' you, while insisting that you don't quite grasp the gravity of the situation. Their reason for calling seems to stem from some newly updated list they have access to as public data. Best to steer clear of these calls altogether!
