Rang us at 7:17 this morning. Clearly a dodgy call of some kind since we’ve stopped sharing our landline number with anyone and don’t have any acquaintances in Blackpool whatsoever.

I picked up the phone at around 7:20 this morning, thinking it might be a local call. An Indian woman on the other end said she was calling from Microsoft, but I didn’t stick around to hear more and promptly ended the call.

I received a call purporting to be from Microsoft, insisting that there was an issue with my computer's security. I promptly informed the caller, a rather irate woman from India, that I had no such problems and wasn't interested in chatting further. Her tone became quite aggressive as she threatened to block my computer. I responded by telling her to go right ahead and hung up.
