5 yearsThis number called me and the guy on the other end, speaking with a heavy accent, claimed to be from Aviva Insurance. He rambled quite a bit, so I decided to ask him a security question to check. He just guessed the answer, which immediately made me suspicious since if he was genuinely from Aviva, he’d have known it straight away. If you want to catch these scammers out, ask them something only the real company, like HMRC or your insurer, would know.
