Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming he did camper repairs. I told him we deal with motorbikes, and then suddenly he switched to saying he fixes camper motorcycles. I ended the call but he rang back right away, asking why I hung up. Funny thing is, I couldn’t catch a word he said after that.

I've been receiving persistent calls from this number, despite having made it quite clear that I'm not interested in any further communication. Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who claimed his records showed I’d been in some kind of accident. I told him I hadn’t. Then he asked if any relatives of mine had been in one - again, no. Next, he started talking about his mate who crashed his Ford Fiesta and said he could help me claim compensation because of it! When he said he’d send me details, I gave him the address of my local police station instead. Ended the call right there. Honestly, these scammers deserve to get nowhere - everyone should just hang up on them.

I merrily respond, "Ah, welcome to bustling New Delhi! How may I be of assistance?" (fully aware that I'm dealing with a Delhi-based con). Then they go on to say, "You've been in an accident..." Oh my goodness, you must be a genius! How ever did you figure that out? Yes, indeed, I've had one, and it's truly dreadful. I'm quite inconsolable, it's streaming down my legs as we speak! 😂😢😂 And just like that, the call wraps up... Now, the real question is, how can we get these nuisance numbers shut down? It seems that telecommunication companies ought to take decisive action against such scam reports and put an end to this madness!

Got a call on our work line from a man who sounded Asian, coming from what seemed like a loud call centre. He wanted a cab from Heathrow airport all the way to Manchester, which is about three hours from us. When I told him we don't do that kind of taxi service, he said it was his first visit to the UK and he was a bit lost about what to do next. Then, out of nowhere, he started saying I had a lovely voice and asked if I was single, which felt a bit odd. After that, he asked if I would assist him when he reached here. Definitely a strange call.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent who kept going on about some accident, asking if I recalled it. I told him no one in my family’s been in any accident. He wouldn't take no for an answer and kept interrupting me. In the end, I just told him to piss off and blocked the number. Such scammers, really annoying!

This dodgy caller was clueless right from the start. I flipped the script on him and claimed he must be the most unlucky scammer ever, ringing up a fraud officer from the police. Just as I was about to say more, he cut me off. Complete muppet! (FYI, I’m definitely not a fraud investigator, haha - but it did the trick.) Number’s blocked now, and that’s the end of that.

Got a call from some dodgy car insurance scammers, and it was laughably terrible. When I asked where they were located, the guy said London, even though the number was from Blackpool. Then when I pressed for a more specific location, he said ‘civic centre’, so I mentioned I actually live in London. Suddenly, he switched to Birmingham! I then asked what shopping centre in Birmingham they were at and could hear him scrambling to Google it. Kept me entertained for a bit before I ended the call and blocked them straight away.
